Our history

Giuseppe Sina – forefather of the SINA family which to this day still controls and manages SINAPAK – founded the company “SINAPAK SNC”, radically diversifying the activities of the previous family firm that for decades had operated in the oenology sector making and selling barrels for wine making. The company starts out in its first headquarters in Broni (Pavia, Italy) housing two industrial sheds.

The Ministry of Health issues certificates of suitability for final packaging operations and then also for the production of Medical and Surgical Aids in the form of insecticide and disinfectant powders, discs, moth and disinfectant sticks, rodenticide pellets and granules.

• First internal laboratory set up for qualitative analysis of Insecticides ;
• Purchase of two packaging lines and the first complete system for grinding and mixing powdered products;
• Production of the best-known insecticide powder in the world begins, first for the Italian market, then for Europe.

• Main production activities in the early years are represented both by final packaging operations (boxing, insertion of information sheets, packaging changes, statistical quality checks) and by complete productions on behalf of both Italian and foreign chemical/pharmaceutical companies;
• These years are remembered for the manufacture of our NEKATARM moth sticks and a number of veterinary anti-parasite products for external application (BOLFO, ASUNTOL and NEGUVON);
• Other important companies (GUABER/VAPE, COPYR, DEISA EBANO, etc.) operating in the insecticide sector entrust SINAPAK with the production of their powdered products.

Purchase of a building plot (6,000 m²) and construction of an industrial shed on the new industrial area in Stradella (Pavia, Italy).
Transfer of the company (offices and production) to the new headquarters in Viale Industria e Artigianato, 7, Stradella (Pavia, Italy).

The Ministry of Health renews its authorisation for the production and packaging of Insecticides for domestic and civilian use (ready-to-use powders) and rodenticides for domestic and civilian use (ready-to-use powders and bait granules).

The Ministry of Health issues authorisation for the production and packaging of Agrochemicals powders, granules and pellets. This authorisation allows the company to formulate and/or package copper- and sulphur-based products for various companies in the sector such as MANICA, LINFA, SIVAM, SIPCAM, ITAL AGRO, among others.
Construction, on company land, of the second industrial shed and set up of the new Quality Control Lab. Other client companies such as ZOBELE, COMPO, VEBI and INDIA entrust SINAPAK with the production of their own insecticide powders.

Purchase of a new plot of land (over 6,000 m²), adjacent to the SINAPAK headquarters, to be used for company development.

• Inclusion in the register of Italian Fertilizer Manufacturers;
• Purchase of dedicated facilities and start of production (mixing powdered/liquid products), packaging of granular/powdered/liquid products;
• As of this date, acquisition of the manufacture of various products of major national and international brands: BAYFOLAN – FITO – DUECI – BLUMEN – LANDEN – CRESCITA MIRACOLOSA – CIFO – LINFA, etc.

Purchase of a new bottle packaging system – a fully automated high-speed line for packaging insecticide powders.

Corporate restructuring and reorganisation of the company’s organisational chart – Acquisition of a new industrial shed, adjacent to the two buildings already in operation, for the development of planned production activities. Installation on company owned roofs of a photovoltaic energy generating system (110 kWh).

“Foreign Development” project to look for customers in Biocides, Fertilizers and Laundry Aids markets – Start of collaboration with SPOTLESS GROUP (later acquired, in 2015, by HENKEL AG) for the production of a line of insecticide powders (various brands: VAPONA – CUCAL – DUM DUM – GLOBOL) and various products for the Hobby & Garden channel.

• Complete separation of the three main business areas: BIOCIDES/PLANT PROTECTION PRODUCTS, FERTILIZERS, LAUNDRY;
• Start of production in the new LAUNDRY AIDS division. Setting of a department with a compartmented mixing area (controlled temperature and humidity) for the management of hazardous raw materials. Mixing and packaging of various Additives including some GREY brand products.

Fertilizer Warehouse Expansion – Construction, alongside the Fertilizers Division, of a new, large warehouse facility for the storage of incoming formulas (big bags and sacks).

Purchase of a new Vertical Packaging Machine – New packaging system for medium-sized packs (3/12 kg) of fertilizer granules. Increase in the production capacity of the Fertilizer Division: 3 packaging lines for granular products and 2 lines for liquids. Packaging of COMPO brand products, FORTYL, GARDENFERT, NATRIA, NATUREN, SOLABIOL, ONE, PROTECT GARDEN…

Creation and launch of the POWDER POWER brand – Single-dose powdered additives – and 3 new product lines (Disinfectants, Laundry and Home) under the SINAPAK brand. POWDER POWER products include a complete range of additives to meet all laundry and hygiene needs and some specific house care products.
